Canva workshop
29/11/2021 – The course has been terminated.
1 Description
The course is about vector graphics. You will learn how to create graphics designs which can be used in advertisement, propagation, on Facebook and on Instagram and to help you with school chores.
These include: postcards, worksheets, CVs, posters and flyers, business cards, logos, info graphics, certificates and many more.
At the beginning we have a discussion why you sign up, what you expect to learn and what is the best way to learn for you.
It is followed by introduction to graphics (vector vs pixel)
Then you learn about design rules and design theory like a golden ratio and shapes, what colours mean and how to combine them and about typography (fonts).
The next part is about how to use Canva.com which is a web application which we use in the workshop as a software to draw/create design.
Afterwards each weekly class is project-based. You learn how to create one design each week and basic guidelines are introduced to you. The guidelines are rules which are used to create eye-pleasing graphic designs.
You learn about how to prepare designed work to be printed properly.
You get a homework each week to practice.
The workshop is supplemented with a textbook.
